Conrad, a cheerful nine year old forced
by his mother to learn to play the piano.
Like most curious children, Conrad is
often distracted by almost anything and
can’t find time to fulfill the strict
practice demands of his sixty-five year
old piano teacher, Mrs. Shabolt. When
he arrives unpracticed and ten minutes
late for his weekly lesson, Conrad begins
a comic struggle to outwit his haughty
old teacher and survive the piano lesson.
